This year’s Outstanding Teacher Awards will be supported by Allied World.

The annual awards, organized by the Bermuda Education Network, will honor the island’s public teachers in December.

Becky Ausenda, founder of BEN, said Allied World has been a key supporter of BEN’s work with public schools since 2012.

“We are grateful that Allied World shares our vision for these awards,” she said. “Recognizing teaching excellence is a key lever for raising teaching standards in schools and we thank Allied World for their generous support, which includes hosting an awards ceremony and presenting cash prize of $1,000 to our ten finalists.”

Colm Singleton, Director of Allied World Bermuda, said, “Allied World recognizes the incredible role public school educators play in our community. We look forward to celebrating the ten finalists when they are announced in December. »

Ms Ausenda added that the success of the awards is rooted in the involvement of the public school community and urged anyone working in Bermuda public schools to visit the BEN website. www.bermudaeducationnetwork.com to nominate a deserving colleague.
