CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -As parents know, kids and parents have tons of activities to do.
So how can you make sure children are safe, with the right car seat, in the event of an accident?
It’s National Child Passenger Safety Week and the staff at Safe Kids Laramie County are hosting an event on September 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
They will offer free car seat safety checks and parent and caregiver training with certified child passenger safety technicians.
The event takes place at the Town & Country supermarket at 516 South Greeley Highway.
“We know it’s very easy to get something wrong when we fit a car seat. So that’s what it’s been all about this whole week and it all falls into place at the very end of Saturday when the seats are checked, which is next Saturday,” said Victoria Ingerle, accident prevention coordinator. injuries in children- CRMC.
This event is part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s annual safety week.
