Chrishell Stause talks about her plans to start a family after being asked about her romance with G-Flip partner. On Sept. 18, the “Selling Sunset” star posted a photo of the couple holding hands on her Instagram Story, to which one user commented and said, “Didn’t you want to have kids?” An upset Stause then posted a screenshot of the post and clapped back with a stern response to those who criticized her relationship.
“I understand that being on ‘Selling Sunset’ entitles people to questions and my life in a way. But I’m sick of that question.”
“Please stop asking me that,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “. . . I intend to adopt. I understand that being on ‘Selling Sunset’ gives people the right to question myself and my life in a certain way. But I’m tired this question. Thank you for the love and support to others – I fell in love with one person. It’s not that outrageous. Love is a beautiful thing,” she concluded with an emoji in heart shape.
Stause also posted a screenshot of another comment she received in response to her clapback which read, “I don’t think that was hate. I think your fans are a little confused because that you were so determined to start your own family and now you’re ‘It’s like I’m living my best life, leave me alone lol.’ Stause replied, “I was looking to start a family with someone who wanted one too. And if someone doesn’t know if they’ll even want to have a child and aren’t open to adoption, then that are two things that are wrong with me.”
She added that she had “nothing but love for my last relationship”, in reference to her ex, Jason Oppenheim. Oppenheim confirmed the former couple’s split in December 2021 just five months after having went public with their relationship. In a statement on Instagram, he noted that their separation was partly due to “different desires regarding a family.” Stause was also transparent about the reason for their split, writing about it, “Men have the luxury of time that women don’t.”
Stause later announced her romance with G Flip — who identifies as non-binary — during ‘Selling Sunset’ season five reunion, which aired on May 6, and cleared up confusion about his sexuality. “Nothing has really changed for me,” she said. “I’m always very drawn to very masculine energy and a good human…I hear people talk about these things, and they’re like, ‘I knew that from a young age.’ It’s not me. I’m fair, I’m very open to good energy. I don’t know what my future holds. But it’s a complicated question to address. Even now, I’m nervous.
G Flip previously said they “definitely see kids in my future” during an episode of People’s.people every daypodcast. “Right now, Chrishell and I know where we are in our life stages,” they added. “And we’re very transparent about it.”
