Lebanon, PA, September 01, 2022 –(PR.com)– The inaugural Hope for Kids Classic Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Fairview Golf Course in Lebanon, Pennsylvania to raise funds in support of the work of the American Foundation for Children with AIDS ( AFCA). The title sponsor of the golf event is Craig Lowrie of Edward Jones Investments, who also serves on the AFCA Board of Directors as Board Treasurer.

“We are delighted to be able to sponsor the first annual Hope for Kid Classic in support of the AFCA. It is rare to find an organization that can have a positive impact on several generations and at the same time offer a better sustainable future for children. Making a kid smile might not change the whole world, but it will change their world,” said Craig Lowrie, who chairs the tournament.

The American Foundation for Children with AIDS is a nonprofit organization that provides essential comprehensive services to HIV-infected and affected children and their caregivers. AFCA programs are effective and promote self-reliance and sustainability. Since 2005, together with in-country partners, they have served tens of thousands of families in some of Africa’s most underserved and marginalized communities. Areas of impact include: medical support, livelihoods, education support and emergency relief. Currently, AFCA is transforming lives in Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The golf tournament aims to raise $20,000, which will have a huge impact on AFCA’s programming to serve more people in need. In addition to the opportunity to play golf on a beautiful course, the day will also include additional fundraising activities such as a 50/50 raffle, a special auction and more, all in the hope that attendees will get into the charity spirit and help raise money for this fantastic cause.

Tanya Weaver, AFCA’s Executive Director, added, “In addition to our $20,000 goal, AFCA has also received a matching grant of $25,000 which will be applied to all donations raised during the Hope for Kids Classic. We are very grateful for the generosity of Edward Jones and every golfer who will help support our projects. We look forward to a full group of participants on the 18th.”

Whether you’re a golfer or a local business owner, there are ways to get involved through sponsorship opportunities that will give your brand exposure. A local charity golf tournament like this provides a targeted local, affluent audience, while promoting a great cause.
