Reports suggest that Haas F1 has brought in a major US organization as the team’s new title sponsor.
F1 returns to the United States after the inaugural Miami GP earlier this year. And the Haas F1 team has some major news to announce as the team hits ground.
After Russia invaded Ukraine, Haas ended its sponsorship with Russian fertilizer giant Uralkali. The American team has since managed to control its finances, but its funds are limited.
Recently, Haas announced that he will be speaking to the media ahead of the United States GP on Thursday October 20 at 12:00 p.m. local time. And it could be the announcement of a new title sponsor.

Rumors are that the team has secured a collaboration with a major American company. hence the announcement before the United States Grand Prix.
According to Joe Saward, the agreement should be concluded from the 2023 season and will last 3 years. The announcement would impact F1’s engagement with its US fanbase, which has become the sport’s biggest market in recent years.

Haas’ bad history with title sponsors
Haas hopes this relationship will prove fruitful. The team has a bad reputation for meddling in dubious parties!
Like in 2019, when Haas signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with a British energy drink company, Rich Energy. CEO William Storey severed ties with the team mid-season after Haas suffered a drop in poor performance.
Haas and Rich Energy had a messy divorce that ended in a legal battle. But that, too, is a far cry from the abysmal deal he signed with the $8 billion Russian organization Uralkali.

CEO of Uralkali, Dimitry Mazepin was the father of 2021 driver Nikita Mazepin. He was also a close associate of Vladimir Putin. Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Uralkali deal was terminated and Mazepin was sacked from his F1 seat.
A new sponsor means a new start for the team. However, many thought this media announcement might be for their 2023 pilot, which is still undecided.

Who will drive for Haas – Mick Schumacher or Nico Hulkenberg?
Currently 2 drivers are after the vacant Haas seat for the 2023 F1 season. Both Mick Schumacher and Nico Hulkenberg appear to be going head-to-head as favorites for the seats.
Mick Schumacher suffered from a lack of regular points for the team. The German’s regular crashes and failed attempts to fight for positions fell foul question.
Additionally, Mick is also looking to sever ties with the Ferrari Driver Academy. And the German is on Williams’ radar to replace Nicholas Latifi. All of this makes Nico Hulkenberg a favorite for the seat.
⚠️ | Nico Hulkenberg remains the favorite to join Haas in 2023 if Schumacher is not offered a new contract.
Guenther Steiner has confirmed that Hulkenberg is on the list of drivers under consideration.

This explains why Haas blocked talks with Schumacher and assesses the situation. Team principal Guenther Steiner praised Hulkenberg.
He thinks a driver of his caliber can add experience to the team. And even Kevin Magnussen is okay with welcoming Hulkenberg to the team. Steiner says the team is in no rush now and a decision could be made in a few weeks.
