Women’s bike brand book announced that it would renew its sponsorship of the Tour de France Women with Zwift for 2023.

The Taiwanese company will continue to sponsor the Best Young Rider White Jersey, which is awarded to the highest-ranked U23 rider overall, after supporting them in this year’s inaugural edition.

Shirin van Anrooij (Trek-Segafredo) won the jersey in 2022, fending off competition from Parkhotel Valkenburg’s Mischa Bredewold.

“Continuing our sponsorship of the Tour de France Women with Zwift fits perfectly with our commitment to advancing women’s participation in cycling,” said Bonnie Tu, Founder of Liv and President of Giant Group.

“The inaugural event was a success and by signing on as a long-term partner, we hope the next generation of female cyclists will see that Liv believes in women and recognizes that we have the potential to fulfill our dreams and compete in the highest level of cycling.”

The Women’s Tour de France was relaunched by ASO this season after a hiatus of more than 30 years since the last official Women’s Tour was contested in the 1980s.

Virtual cycling company Zwift has signed on as title sponsor ahead of this season’s edition, having signed a four-year contract with the race. Retaining Liv for another season will be a big boost for the event as it seems to become a fixture on the calendar.

“Partnering with Liv for this successful first edition of the Tour de France Women with Zwift was a natural fit for the race and our organization,” said Julien Goupil, ASO’s Director of Media and Partnerships.

“As the only Tour de France Women’s cycling sponsor with Zwift, Liv has been unwavering in her commitment to women’s cycling and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the years to come to raise the bar for women’s cycling. “
