Mochdre Sports FC teams up with charity to ‘reduce the stigma’ around mental health

MOCHDRE SPORTS FC has partnered with a mental health charity in Conwy to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around mental health.

The club have chosen Conwy Mind as their designated charity for the season and will be the club’s new sponsor.

The move will help raise awareness of mental wellbeing, with Conwy Mind having worked with communities across the county for 37 years to address the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health, ensuring inclusive service delivery is accessible to all who need it and ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

One in four people experience a mental health issue each year, meaning around 30,000 of Conwy’s 120,000 residents need help and support each year.

A spokesman for Mochdre Sports FC, who compete in the North Wales East Coast Premier League, said: ‘We are extremely proud to be working alongside Conwy Mind in promoting the charity on our new shirts and aiming to raise awareness for better mental health in Conwy County. .”
