In the Greater Victoria School District, the Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils of Victoria is hosting two sessions, starting tonight at the Victoria High School gymnasium at 923 Topaz Avenue. Vic High is temporarily located in the former SJ Willis Education Center.

The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will include small group discussions. The second event will take place via Zoom on October 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required on the link tinyurl.com/3efw6xbs.

The VCPAC is also planning a rally on Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. to promote voting in the Oct. 15 election.

Participants plan to line Blanshard Street between Topaz Park and Hillside Avenue after gathering at the Topaz Park parking lot near Finlayson Street.

Participants are encouraged to bring signs and musical instruments.

The Sooke Parent Education Advisory Council is also hosting an event today with trustee candidates in the Belmont Area of ​​the Sooke School District at Belmont High School Auditorium, 3041 Langford Lake Rd. SPEAC may be contacted at [email protected]
