‘Pay 4 Play’ on WQXA 105.7 THE X raises over $352,000 for Children’s Hospital | Penn State University

HERSHEY, Pa. – The 16th annual People’s Pay 4 Play on 105.7 THE X on Nov. 17-18 raised $352,067.09 for the Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. This brings the event’s 16-year fundraising total to $3,058,577.07.

Jen Shade, Nipsey and Vince from The People’s Morning Show hosted the 28-hour event. Listeners gave a gift to hear a song request. Fundraising partners presented fundraising totals over the past year, and patients and families shared their medical journeys, including the Hester family of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania.

“We are so grateful to CMN all these years. CMN and Penn State Health have been instrumental in Savannah and Xander’s health journey. I love seeing all the support, equipment and even the little things like lip balm and stickers that CMN is able to provide kids like mine at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital through all of their fundraising efforts funds,” said Valerie Hester, Xander and Savannah’s mother.

“We are extremely grateful for the 16-year partnership we have with The People’s Morning Show on 105.7 THE X and are simply amazed by the support provided by their loyal listeners,” said Katie Anderson, director of the Children’s Miracle Network at Penn. State Health Children’s. Hospital. “Thanks to them and the community that supports them, Pay 4 Play has raised over $3 million for the Children’s Miracle Network at Children’s Hospital since its beginning in 2007. Thank you to everyone involved in funding pediatric research, family-centered programs and equipment to empower sick and injured children to grow.
