Sands China title sponsor of Formula 4 Macau Grand Prix

MACAU, November 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Sands China Ltd. sponsored the main event of this year’s 69th Macau Grand Prix, the Sands China Formula 4 Macau Grand Prixas part of the company’s ongoing support of sports development and sports tourism in Macau.

In addition to sponsoring the race, Sands China set up an interactive Grand Prix pop-up stand at the Londoner® Macau and conducted activities with local community groups to share the joy and excitement of the Macau Grand Prix with both Macau community and its visitors.

On the final day of racing on Sunday, Sands China Ltd. chairman Dr. Wilfred Wang, senior executives and other team members took to the starting grid to wish the drivers good luck and get a closer look at the iconic Formula cars. Dr. Wong also participated in the awards ceremony after the race.

sands China The Grand Prix pop-up stand at Shoppes at Londoner featured a live feed of the Grand Prix races on a large LED screen as well as a seating area for viewers. Visitors could also try their hand at racing by taking a spin on the realistic racing simulator. The booth also featured interactive mini-games and a victory podium as a fun photo backdrop.

Prior to the Grand Prix, Sands Cares Ambassadors and members of the Good Shepherd Sisters Women’s Self-Help Center visited the Macau Grand Prix Museum on October 23. On their guided tour, the group of around 30 people learned about the captivating history of racing and saw Grand Prix cars and motorcycles from all decades up close. They could also experience the thrill of racing along the narrow and winding street circuit of Guia Macau with an immersive racing experience.

And on Saturday, the Ambassadors accompanied them on a day trip, first heading to the pop-up Grand Prix stand at Shoppes at Londoner before heading to the peninsula to enjoy Race 1 of the Grand Prix Sands China Formula 4 Macau and experience the exhilaration of motorsport first-hand, supporting the building of a harmonious and inclusive community.
