Signify sponsors the second edition of the Art From Egypt exhibition

  • The company uses the latest eco-friendly and sustainable lighting methods to illuminate the exhibit’s artwork, hallways, doorways and internal panels.

Cairo: Signify, formerly Phillips Lighting, has announced its sponsorship of the second edition of Egypt’s International Art Exhibition ‘Forever Is Now’, to be held at the Pyramids of Giza from October 27 to November 30 under the auspices of of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Egyptian National Committee for UNESCO and the Tourism Promotion Council. 12 artists from 11 countries around the world will participate in this exhibition, led by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Italy, Great Britain, Sweden, the United States, Spain, the Cameroon and France.

The Art From Egypt exhibition reflects the profound impact of ancient Egypt on the world, the development of contemporary artistic cultural practices, and how they intertwine, as well as the integration of ancient Egyptian artists with contemporary artists. The exhibit showcases eco-friendly artwork amidst the historic Great Pyramids of Giza. Signify is the lighting sponsor for five consecutive years and is the exhibition’s strategic partner.

Signify illuminates these works of art using modern lighting products and the latest smart lighting technologies, reflecting the beauty of this experience for visitors to the exhibition. This provides an ideal experience for designers, focusing primarily on displaying the main features of their works.

“We light 12 works of art from the collection of the exhibition, as well as the corridors and all the signs, the portals of works of art, the wooden platforms and all the internal signs of the exhibition, using around 360 lighting units, ranging from warm and cool lighting to RGB colored LED lights.

Signify’s participation in the Art From Egypt exhibition shows the importance of the company’s lighting solutions, which have been specially designed for works of art to highlight aesthetic and artistic aspects, including the display of technical details that help display the artworks, highlighting the dazzling elements in them that capture the attention of attendees.

It is worth mentioning that Signify sponsored the “Forever is now” exhibition last year and illuminated many other historical places, including the Egyptian Museum, Al Manial Palace and Al-Moez Street. The lighting has been designed specifically for each work of art, striking the perfect balance between presenting the art and protecting it using LED products with sustainable solutions, as part of the company’s commitment in terms of social responsibility.
