Sponsor Spotlight: Lynnwood Convention Center Celebrates Caring Canadian Month | MLTnews.com

In November, the Lynnwood Convention Center launched Caring Hearts Month, a month-long celebration dedicated to giving back to our community, recognizing our nonprofit partners, improving our environment, and helping those in need.

Events planned for Caring Hearts Month include a food drive to benefit the Lynnwood Food Bank, a warm clothing/coat drive with donations to the Northwest Center, a staff cleanup at a local park in Lynnwood, and a of blood pop-up event with Bloodworks Northwest on November 18th.

For the food and coat drive, community members are invited to drop off non-perishable food items and coats in the main lobby of the Convention Center during regular business hours (Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or when the building is open evening and weekend entertainment). The Lynnwood Food Bank collects and distributes over 1.3 million pounds of food each year to low-income families. All warm clothes and coats will go to the Northwest Center, which provides services such as inclusive education and employment programs for children and adults with disabilities.

To participate in the November 18 collection, make an appointment online at www.lynnwoodcc.com/blooddrive. Bloodworks Northwest collects and distributes vital blood to more than 90 Northwest hospitals, and by donating half an hour of your time, your donation could save a life.

The Convention Center will also be featuring many of its non-profit and community organization clients on its website and social media platforms throughout November to highlight the great work these groups are doing. For a list of participating organizations, visit www.lynnwoodcc.com/caringhearts.

Center. “I am excited about this initiative and look forward to our team getting involved to give back.
