Susie Wolff leaves the Venturi Formula E team

Wolff joined Venturi in July 2018 as team principal before becoming CEO at the end of 2021 when former F1 driver Jerome D’Ambrosio returned to his original role.

His initial signing with Venturi was part of a three-year plan to raise the team’s profile and competitive position within the all-electric single-seater championship.

As CEO, she oversaw Venturi’s most successful season to date in FE, with the team finishing second in the teams’ championship and third in the drivers’ standings thanks to Edouardo Mortara.

Earlier this year, the famous Italian automakerr Maserati announced a partnership with Venturi to supply engines for the 2022-2023 season.

On Tuesday night after the FE 2021/2022 season finale in South Korea, Wolff took to social media to announce his departure from Venture.

In a series of posts, she wrote: “As the most successful season in Venturi FE’s history comes to an end, my personal journey with the team and Formula E also comes to an end.

“I leave with immense pride in the solid foundations we have built together as the team embarks on a new chapter with Maserati.

“When I joined Venturi FE, my goal was to build a team that not only performed well on the track, but stood up for a bigger purpose.

“A racing family that celebrates diversity and champions inclusivity. While this journey continues, I am very proud of the progress we have made.

“I didn’t know four years ago the magnitude of the challenges we would face as a team.

“It was those tough times that defined the resilience, faith and trust we built in each other: going from running from behind to constantly fighting for wins and titles.

“Thank you Gildo Pastor for your vision and your confidence in the team. Also Alejandro Agag and everyone in Formula E for four great seasons of racing.

“And finally, for my Venturi FE team, it has been an honor to have led and represented such a talented and driven group of people.
