The Police Credit Union will sponsor the 2022 Police Christmas Carol Contest

The Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU) Ltd. has once again partnered with the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) to sponsor the 2022 Police Christmas Carol Competition.

The PCCU has been a major sponsor of the event since 2012, according to a statement from the Public Relations and Police Complaints Department.

PCCU Chairman, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Enville Williams, presented a check in the amount of $3,900.00 to Commissioner of Police, Colin John, on Tuesday, November 22, as a contribution of the credit union in this year’s competition.

Others present at the brief handover ceremony were PCCU Director Ayanna Samuel; Police Song Contest Coordinator, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Junior Simmons; and PC 353 Rockel Coombs, attached to the Department of Public Relations and Complaints.

During the ceremony in the police headquarters boardroom, ACP Williams said that as part of the PCCU’s corporate social responsibility, it is imperative that the institution give back to the community it serves.

According to ACP Williams, sponsorship of the Police Christmas Carol Contest is just one of the many ways the PCCU is seeking to fulfill its vision to be St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ premier financial institution.

“Excluding 2021, this is the ninth year that the PCCU has sponsored the Police Christmas Carol Competition. We do this because we have experienced and seen the joy it has brought to the customers who attend and the various groups who participate,” said the president of the credit union.

Accepting the sponsorship check, the Commissioner of Police expressed his gratitude to the PCCU on behalf of the police force for sponsoring the Christmas Carol Contest for another year, and congratulated the Board and Management of the PCCU for their generosity and partnership with the RSVGPF over the years.

The Commissioner expressed his optimism about the future endeavors of both organizations and expressed confidence that the PCCU and RSVGPF will continue to work together to achieve tangible and mutually rewarding benefits for both organizations and their members.
