And it has left people wondering if life in the Premier League is a step too far for Forest.

However, that’s not the only thing on everyone’s mind as eagle-eyed fans have noticed that there is no sponsor on the Nottingham Forest kids.

SunSport has all the knowledge below.

Why don’t Nottingham Forest have a sponsor?

Nottingham Forest do not have a shirt sponsor as no agreement has been reached with a potential partner.

Steve Cooper’s men saw their contract with BOXT expire at the end of last season.

The club turned down an offer from the boiler company to extend their partnership in their first Premier League campaign of the millennium.

Following this decision by the owners of Forest, BOXT signed an agreement to become sponsor of the Everton rounds.

Will Nottingham Forest find a sponsor?

Nottingham Forest are certainly keen on securing a sponsorship deal and the situation regarding the plain front of their shirts is not what they had anticipated.

According to reports from the East Midlands, there are many deals on the way, but none have crossed the line yet.

According Sports businessForest chairman Evangelos Marinakis is on a £10m-a-season contract and was ready to start the campaign without a sponsor if his demands weren’t met.

There has also been a restructuring which has seen the club make just two key trading appointments in the first week of August.

Former Newcastle chief executive Lee Charnley has been brought in by Marinakis to help broker a deal.

In late July, Sheffield Hallam University financial expert Dr Dan Plumley said Football Insider“It’s ambitious. You have to look at the marks.

“West Ham and Everton are around £10m or £11m. Newcastle and Leeds are closer to £7.5m. That’s the area we’re looking at.

“We know betting companies will often pay more than non-betting companies.

“For a newly promoted club you’re probably going for £6m or £7m. So Forest are going above the benchmark there.

“The risk is that the longer you go without naming a sponsor, the more likely it will backfire.

“The sponsors want to be involved in every game and we are almost at the start of the season now.

“If that happens, fantastic. That would put them among the biggest deals in the Premier League. But there is a risk that we cannot ignore with this strategy.

But according to Simon Chadwick, Global Professor of Sport at Emlyon Business School, more clubs could follow Forest’s approach in the near future.

He said Athleticism: “Many American investors believe that Premier League football clubs are underselling and that their sponsorship assets are worth far more money than they are currently asking for.”
