Wright Investments returns as Rovers shorts sponsor

Doncaster Rovers are delighted to welcome back a familiar brand to the first team kit, with Wright Investments having agreed to become the new shorts sponsor.

The Doncaster-based property The developer and investment company was Rovers’ shirt sponsor between 2007 and 2010, with their logo prominent in the iconic play-off final victory over Leeds United at Wembley, which secured promotion to the Championship

Wright Investments will be back on the Rovers kit from this weekend as shorts sponsor after agreeing to become the latest member of the 100Club partnership.

Wright Investments owner colin Wright said, “I thought about it for a while. We had a great time in the previous sponsorship period when the club did incredibly well, especially with that day at Wembley.

“Over the years people have thanked me for sponsoring the club and said how proud they were of that support at such a special time.

“As a company, we are working on a lot of brilliant projects at the moment, so the time seemed right for us to come back as kit sponsor. I am extremely glad to be back on board.

Club Doncaster commercial director Jon Warburton said: “As soon as we heard Colin wanted to support us again, we were really keen for that to happen.

“When you talk to Colin, he speaks so well about the club and very fondly about the time he sponsored us before.

“The financial support is massive and we appreciate it so much, however, at Colin you also have someone who wants to support you in different ways. He is a Doncaster defender who is always positive about the work done by the club, which is just as important as the financial contribution of a partner.

The Wright Investments the logo will appear on Rovers’ shorts, starting with Saturday’s clash with Leyton Orient at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Head of Football Operations James Coppinger was part of the team that won the Wembley Championship final in 2008 with the Wright Investments logo on the belly and is delighted to see the company renew its support.

He said, “Talking to Colin, it was good to remember good times spent at the club.

“It’s great to have them as a sponsor again. We know the importance of partners and the importance of sponsorship for the club. It’s great to have them on board again.
